I love to cook. I wake up in the morning thinking what should I make for dinner????
I am Vegan and the focus on my cooking is good, quality and delicious vegan food.
I do love to cook from a multitude of chefs, cookbook authors like Harumi Kurihara, Kimiko Barber, Vatcharin Bhumichitr, Nobu Matsuhisa and Susanna Foo but I also like Jamie Oliver, Gordon Ramsay, Nigella Lawson, Charlie Trotter, Bonnie Stern, Bobby Flay, Madhur Jaffrey, Dave Lieberman, Thomas Keller, Jacques Pépin, Robin Robertson and countless others.
My wife Belle and older children, Sean and Hayley are not vegan so there will still be meat dishes posted as I cook for them. My youngest Dylan is basically a pastatarian, but we are working on that. I must say I love making pasta from scratch even if it is just for Dylan. There is something very meditative about cooking but it is especially true of making pasta.
We love all types of food and are always ready to try something new. Please feel free to comment, make suggestions and offer help.
We home school Dylan by day and I teach martial arts (Matsubayashi-Ryu Karate-Do, Yoshinkan Aikido and ZNKR Jodo) by night. That takes up one-third of my life. I love to cook and that is the second third and I love to spend time with my family, my wonderful wife Belle, Sean, Hayley and Dylan and that is the final third of my life.I guess I am waiting for someone to offer me a restaurant so I can put my passion to work just as I do with the martial arts.
I have amazing students and they never cease to amaze me. They are incredible.
